Berlin Art Week 2015: ABC Contemporary
As part of Berlin Art Week 2015, the ABC Contemporary show at Station Berlin in the heart of the industrial parkland at Gleisdreieck UBahn in Kreuzberg’s far west is on again. This annual event brings thousands to see some of Berlin’s finest artists in residence under one roof. Artists from 30 of Berlin’s galleries, exhibit their work across the vast warehouse space.
Open from 17 – 20 September Berliners and international guests come dressed to impress – lots of black, hats, cameras and leather – to see sculptures, installation, interactive and traditional forms of drawing and painting in a contemporary fashion along with collage, photography and film.
Many of the artists and curators are on hand to discuss their galleries and the pieces on display. Over the weekend, pop up events such as talking galleries and presentations are scheduled as well as performances.
The food is curated by non other than Berlin favourite, Bite Club who share the Berlin-meets-global food movement with food stalls and trucks coming together across the space including pop up bars, coffee stations and food from Chuntify, Mogg and Melzer, Spice Spice baby and JONES ice-cream.
